I almost stopped reading because of the second book. It took a while to get over the fact Audra was gone. Phuong I didn't really like as a character. Flavia had some similarities to Phuong that rubbed me the wrong way but not as bad as the story progressed. I wish there was more depth of character and more recognition of overcoming and growth. Life sucks... So now what? It also gets tiresome of "What the f did I do this time?" But I want to know who Jay ends up with... so I read on... Please more characters closer to Audra...Product details

Reminded me of Led Zepplin, at least with the first one (I.E. Livin Lovin Maid) - and it really was fun to read! Even though maybe I'm biased, and am\\have been involved in music for most of my life. Anyhow, these were fun to read. Not boring, and certainly enjoyable.
Jay Felix's middle name should be Trouble. He has a talent for finding, joining or creating trouble. Rock star bad boy has ladies falling over him. Reading this book can lure you in to the Bad Boy himself, or at least watch the train wreck ;) The books get more awesome as you go along. Seeing the inner Jay in glimpses --as opposed to the naked Jay in abundance-- makes the stories deepen interest for readers.
definitely well worth reading this series. The characters are funny, developed and interesting. Have to get a kick out of the rock star, then you feel sorry for him, then back to liking and laughing. Great series
This is an excellent series and a great deal for a boxed set!! I read this straight through in a little over one night I seriously didn't want to put it down!! I have yet to find a story by Ms. Carlton that I haven't loved. She has a very creative, quicky and hilarious way of telling her stories. I think by now between ARC's (thank you so so so much!) and KU I have almost everything that she has written and will continue to get in the future!!
I enjoyed reading this book, it has a great storylines. Can't wait to read more from this author. I received a FREE ARC copy to read volunteerly for an honest review.
I wasn't expecting to do more than read through, and move on. Instead I think I have now bought the entire series (so far?). This just gets funnier, the longer it goes on. It is not a serial, with cliffhangers, but the core characters from the resort keep returning, and not in the usual sense where each gets a HEA. While I suspect that, eventually, someone will, so far 'happy for a little while' seems like a win. I look forward to seeing what happens next.
I enjoyed Maid for the South Pole and wanted to read more of the story. However, in order for the writer
to accurately portray the speech of the rock star, it was necessary to lace his speech with obscenity. This pattern of using an obscene
word to replace words that might call for mental effort has become more and more prevalent. Movies are full of it. Since we acquire vocabulary
by experience, reading and hearing, I am becoming alarmed at the spread of this boring, mindless habit. I read the first book. The plot is interesting. But since I expect the language will continue, I will not read more. CS
